Visas Visitors may obtain a visa on arrival at Egal International Airport in Hargeisa or in advance through a Somaliland representative office abroad. Applicants should hold a passport valid for at least six months, a return ticket, an invitation or hotel booking, and pay the applicable fee.
Document authentication The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation authenticates Somaliland-issued documents for use abroad, including educational certificates, birth and marriage certificates, powers of attorney and commercial documents. Documents must first be certified by the issuing institution and the relevant ministry.
Consular assistance Somaliland citizens abroad may request assistance with travel documents, registration, and emergencies from the nearest Somaliland representative office, or contact the Ministry directly.
