The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), attended a reception hosted in his honour and that of his delegation by the International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF), headquartered in Washington, D.C.
The meeting focused on the importance of protecting natural resources, the environment and the oceans, and on opportunities for cooperation between Somaliland and United States institutions working in environmental protection and sustainable development.

The President expressed his sincere appreciation for the invitation and the warm hospitality extended by the International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF), stressing that the protection of natural resources and the development of a sustainable economy are important pillars of Somaliland's future, and noting that international cooperation can play a major role in developing resources, protecting the environment and creating lasting economic opportunities.
